Increase Your Visibility in 2014 with Effective Marketing Tools

The New Year is upon us, which means it’s resolution time! A good rule of thumb is to make your resolutions achievable so you can hold to them without having to change everything about yourself and your life.

That’s also a great rule of thumb for marketing! While 2014 is young, we urge you to make it a point to increase your company’s visibility with effective marketing tools.

We’ll help you get started with a few suggestions anyone can stick to:

1. Sell the Sizzle!

You’re probably familiar with the phrase “Sell the sizzle, not the steak.” You don’t want your customers to just buy a single product or service. You want them to trust your company so they’ll come back and buy many products or services.

Sell the Sizzle not the Steak

Don’t rely on sales, special offers, and promotions to create loyalty. You aren’t promoting just one product or service, you’re promoting an entire company!

Proving time and again that you’re an expert in your field who consistently delivers the goods will build a lasting relationship between your company and your customers.

2. Visual Promotion

Another way to increase your visibility is to emphasize graphics like company or brand logos in your promotions.

Think of the Nike “swoosh” or the Starbucks mermaid image. Both are instantly identifiable in large part because those companies made sure the logo was emblazoned on as many visible surfaces and promotional materials as possible.

3. Clarity Counts

How quickly and effectively do your images communicate your company’s expertise and services? Make sure your visual elements are simple and clear. Avoid extraneous graphics that are too complicated or confusing and might convey the wrong message to your customers.

4. Say It With Postcards

Postcards are a great way to promote a new product, Promotional Postcard announce a special promotion, or just remind customers that you’re here when they need you. What’s more, they’re inexpensive and easy to send.

Here’s the best part: they’re visual! You have the entire front of the postcard to cover with an eye-grabbing image that helps embed your company’s graphics into the minds of your customers. A short but effective message on the flip side confirms your expertise to the subscribers on your mailing list.

5. On the Other Hand…

Not everyone wants to get promotions through the mail; some prefer email. Offer subscribers an opportunity to opt out of “snail mail” if they choose. You can give them extra attention with an email-only special offer that lets them know how much you appreciate their business.
